WordWork

Drawn forth from the lists, notes, diagrams, inner landscapes, and found papers of everyday life, the Wordworks speak to an order, clarity, and purpose underlying the ordinary.

They are infused with the expansiveness of Colorado and the woods/ ponds/seacoasts of New England.

Sometimes they show up as pared-down word-presences, or calligraphically paired with ink drawing, as in The Family Tree.

Medium: Color pencil, ink, pastel, often with found papers collaged and underlaid, often with found objects, on charcoal or vellum paper.
