Whirling

Whirling within the day and into the night, navigating the warm and the cool ~ these drawings spin through fields of color and texture.

Their three-ness moves synchronously through all of life and their sound is made visible.

Constructed, incised, templated, and collaged, they may bear the spontaneous imprint of a child’s hand, or a Chinese star.

Each drawing is initially based on the shape of a three-handled boomerang.

Medium: Color pencil, ink, pastel, on vellum with underlain papers
